Ezmia: A Villainous Perspective
What if Cinderella’s stepmother had a rough childhood? What
if the Evil Queen lost a lover? What if The Little Mermaid’s deal is just
another cultural offense?. I believe that, a villain possesses the same
qualities as the hero or the heroine, and due to that in the end of the day,
the bad guy is a bad guy because their story hasn’t been told yet.

We Can(Cer) Cure!
“The reality is, sometimes you lose, and you’re never too
good to lose, you’re never too big to lose, you’re never too smart to lose, it
happens, and it happens when it needs to happen. And you have to embrace those
things.” –Beyonce Knowles (Self Titled Part 2. Imperfection).
The quote above already describes my whole mood particularly
after a submission towards a particular magazine. Somehow I seem to, lose a
lot, on the beginning of each year. I’m however, embracing it as much as
Beyonce is embracing that new weave and booty.
Here are the pieces.
I believe that strength can lead to power,
to the ability to speak out and almost control the world in the most fabulous
way. To liquefy what you wear and what you believe in. In wearing the best red
cloak and looking your best even with the softest colors, brightening up the
edge. In being a powerful individual even though the world may alienate.
2. 2.Duplicate The Strength-Cells
Cells divide, duplicate itself towards cell
walls, this is how cancer spreads, as the cancer cells just spreads the
destruction little by little. I believe that when the cancer cells duplicate,
an immunity in the form of strength, a physical yet psychological factor can
spread and withstand the factors that overcome the individual at first, making
the survivor a winner.

I decided to promote both sides of
masculinity and femininity through this picture. I hate how stereotypically my
messages always may only appear to support the women as it is a fashion shoot
celebrating the power of the female. As a male, I also feel the sympathy
towards male survivors. I believe that everyone is a warrior against every
single kind of cancer.
4. 4.Alien
This piece directly aims onto breast cancer
survivors, already demonstrated by the pink ribbon and the breast covered. I
believe that being alien, being against the world or different is beautiful,
but that moment is a moment of strength, a moment where you can mark your own
territory and just be, FLAWLESS.
5.
5.Upside Down-Downside Up
Cancer, I believe, is a factor that changes
lives. But we can always go in reverse, when everything seems, just wrong. I
believe its only a matter of perspective, we can always do the exact opposite.
Believe that whatever happens before was bad and now is good. See the good in
everything, find love in the darkest places. Believe in the paradox of living.
6.
6.Chemotherapy
This process is where all the hair falls off
due to the heat, but I’m trying to show how the shape may change but beautifully
the heat comes marching in, forming power, forming a realization that
everything will be alright in some sort of ways. A process of curing, of
cancuring-from the cancer. My favorite piece on how the flare of a generation
can light up from inspiring stories, to be a monument to the ones inferior to
themselves. To love themselves.
However, I got published for another magazine, which
basically redeems the lost I have to go through. I realized that, losing has to
happen when it needs to, and that you have to remain proud and strong, because
the loss is what makes us champions. There is no utopia or dystopia in life, I
believe. There’s always a light grey in black and dark grey in white. You will
ALWAYS have those flaws that defines your art.
Since I believe my art has grown onto it’s maturity, a
particular phase I believe grow and meets itself in one point I believe it
does, it’s not again about how good you are, it’s more on how, is it acceptable
to their particular taste. It’s an equality of just being, who you are inside,
the composition of photography works like that, and I believe no boundaries are
supposed to NOT be broken.
Perfection does not mean flawless. Flawless, however, means
imperfection to me. I know the statement above may seem ironic as flawless
means no flaws. However, the way I see it, the flaws makes a picture flawless
due to it’s imperfection. It makes an image less perfect, or more like, more
interesting, holding more meaning and live.
I woke up like this
I know this post haven’t sounded too, awareness-sounding as
I was talking about my personal experience above. Now, let’s take a moment and
think about every person we met on the streets today. Isn’t it fascinating, and
scary, how one of them maybe in a suicidal phase where no one could encourage
them, and whether one of them just got a promotion, and how one of them is
fighting cancer and makes the most of his or her own life?.
I believe that cancer exists for a reason, like everyone
else. I personally never had any experiences of me or a part of my family who
is fighting cancer. However, if you are fighting cancer, I’m just going to say
this sentence to you.
“Never ever ever let a factor of your life define who you
are, overcome it, be superior to it, and fight it to your fullest, then your
survival will inspire, because you are bigger than your disease. Wake up
Flawless, Don’t Let The Flaws Of The Day Affect You. End Up The Day Flawless”.
This portfolio is dedicated to the strong ones, to the ones
fighting every single thing their life fights, to the ones who suffer from
diseases which seem, impossible to beat. The diseases that seem to take away
someone’s age, to limit them from growing older. The factors that forces them
to make the most out of their lives. Sometimes, Heaven surely can’t wait for
some people. It takes an immense amount of guts to just defeat cancer, but it
takes love to fight it throughout till the very end.
The reason I used a bald-manipulated model is that, since
the mood board incorporated many bald elements, I decided to play with fire.
I’ve always had the fascination with the oval-roundness of the human head. It’s
just so uniquely strong, a mold breaker, but in the same time, almost like an
egg, like humpty dumpty who fell from the wall. I believe that everyone should
have the chance to vomit out their mind, their ideas in being strong. What if
the person who knows how to cure cancer doesn’t get the chance to speak out and
fits in the ordinary? What if the person who knows how to cure cancer doesn’t
receive enough education and dies in poverty somewhere in the world?. I believe
that ideas come from strength, from power, and from glory.
I believe that the best way to finally die is to live as a
legend, to live as a teaching and a blessing to the ones in the state of
living, to help them go through their days, through their weeks, then months,
then eventually years, decades, even millenniums. To be an inspiration to the
ones thinking they’re not good enough, or smart enough, or brave enough, or
even pretty enough. To break the boundaries of what society offers, the
superficial judgmental world, lingering in the back of our minds. This is what
we should fight to break boundaries, to live to the very fullest.
I’ve always been a boundary-breaking fashioned individual,
but what I am referring here is different from my mainstream. Sometimes, some
of us find it a blessing to have a long life, with no threats of the
limitations of a short life span that we live everyday like it’s just another
day to kick back and enjoy the day, while the ones that don’t have too much
time left tend to make the most out of their lives. This is what I am aware of,
our age isn’t determined or classified by the (previously mentioned) supposedly
inferior diseases. Some people tend to just keep count of their time span in
misery, which may lead onto depression and well, an unfortunate ending. I
believe that, diseased or not, we should live everyday like it’s our last, no
matter what happens, tomorrow may be there or not, but is a new day.
In the end of the day, Cancer is a fight, it’s a call of
nature for the ones STRONG enough, to be an inspiration to the rest of the
world, for the ones who can survive in the bloodstreams of their fingertips,
the ones who may end up dying in the fight PROUD, and definitely, the ones who
are POWERFUL and DETERMINED, HISTORY makers who will make a change in the
process of finding the cure and forming a better, loving, caring world.
This post may be mislead to a negative way, but what I’m
just trying to say is just that, the awareness I’m trying to spread is being
aware of, are you really alive or not. I believe that it’s not the quantity of
time spend which is important in living, but the QUALITY. Whatever faith you
believe in, the afterlife seeks for the factors you performed in living, and in
the end of the day, living life to the fullest, staying happy, and to love
basically sums up the jewelof living---the jewel of the tye dye halcyon.

TPS Travels With Garuda Indonesia & Resort World Sentosa - Singapore Skyline
Hey UNIONS! How are you guys? So since my first 2014 post is
basically a compilation of last year(which was ages ago, this post was intended
to be posted in January but since I’m really busy with submissions and
assignments, so yeah), which could be viewed as a recap, I wanted to do
something that really shouted out the term of January 2014. So as you guys
might’ve found out from my Instagram, The Photographic Sense is once again
travelling to Singapore!. However, this time, things are a bit different,
because this trip is all thanks to Garuda Indonesia that gave me a free ticket
and a voucher for a 2 night stay on either Hard Rock Hotel or Festive Hotel in
Sentosa as a prize for winning their Blog Competition last year, judged by one of
my favorite bloggers, Silvia Siantar off Poise Polish. If you want to read my
entry, click HERE.
Anyways, as this is a Travel Diary, this will be a very long
read!, let’s get started. I was head over heels excited because since I usually
let my artistic side get the best of me, I don’t always hang out with my
friends or anything like that since at times, I have to sacrifice it for photo
shoots and stuff. The fact that some of my friends are now studying in
Singapore, which basically means I get to explore the city the way that I want,
at least for a day. The thing is that my dad isn’t a big fan of walking around
cities, he’s more of a chilling instead of walking kind of guy. My mom, on the
other side, like me, loves sightseeing and shopping around town, however, none
of us know the MRT Route and those kind of stuff, so the fact that I got my
friends is already a savior.
Btw, I'm travelling with my stunning Mom, Diana(@dianamputri), my beautiful Gramma, Ester, and my Princess-Sister, Aiko(@fairyaiko11)

The Halcyon Days 2013
"It's Gonna Be Better"
-Ellie Goulding
-Ellie Goulding
2013
Isn't it odd, how some words have such different, diverse meanings? How an inverse is not a hybrid of the original, but a weapon against it? How our biggest enemy is ourselves? And how the world treats their creatures differently? In order to carry on the circle of life, Sacrifices are required to be made.
"The Halcyon Days" is basically a compilation, like a body of The Photographic Sense's fine art implementation of a 16 year old Reinhardt Kenneth, with "All The Way" representing the process. A method of drawing art onto an immerse diversity of contrast and the extra spark that lights up the whole room with expressions and reactions. It's like the human body, how each organ cannot work on their own, forming one by one, becoming a team. Afterwards the ending towards "The Artistic Womb 's Final Chapter, which is Masquerade Ball; I've got a lot of reactions towards it, it being the peak of The Photographic Sense, but what you may not know is a disagreement from strong opinions, forming rejections towards the portfolio. The fact that as you get to be more well known, you get more hate, more rejection, there will always be the ones that get and accept your art, and the ones who would spend their time giving attention, hating on you. Which in the end of the day, is hardly worth of your time. This portfolio is created as the rage, and the insecurity I face to the industry-which of course is hardly easy. You can't make it out alive unless you fight for the survival. There are times things just come extremely unfair and how the ART you believe in is being downgraded, in the most less appreciated way, how some find the amazing story you implement in the frame to be absolutely unrealizable, shallow, and lack in it's sense of clarity. These art pieces are the ones that fight back, my redemption towards the society's disapproval of the art I basically create to not only satisfy, but build a pride. My body is only a tool for my mind, my heart, and my sense to implement the impossible towards works of art. Pieces that dance in my head like a buzz, It's where my heart truly belongs and where it can explore the things I am aspiring to be, to inspire with art.
The main reason why this compilation is entitled “The
Halcyon Days 2013” is because that’s really when I was really trying to
reinvent my Halcyon Days. I remember long boarding waits where I researched how
to get married on a particular Harvest Moon game, I suppose it was Grand
Bazaar. I also remember how Halcyon strikes when my Tamagotchi character
finally got married, I remember passing the hallways of my house, running
around as excited as a free-d caged bird. Those are the days I didn’t crave for
more, those are also the days where I didn’t seem require the strength of
passion and art to be myself, whereas after a rebirth and a reinvention of
myself through The Photographic Sense I found the flowers blooming on my tree
at some point, but that’s the point when I miss being a bud, where I miss
spreading the spores, where I miss the sprout of The Photographic Sense. The
fact that I was losing a lot in the beginning of 2013, in the least logical
sense, with my art being extremely underrated, all happening with series off
“The Noisy Cult”-it was a hopeless age when I just didn’t know where to bare my
creativity anymore. It just doesn’t make sense-how the things that belong
dearly to my heart just loses with reasons like “the lack of meaning” towards a
camera phone picture. It’s an age where I blame everyone for not being
qualified to even read parts of my creativity. It’s not a loss anymore, it’s a
craving for a journey back towards Halcyon.
But in the end, I did win anyway, I got my own interview,
travelled with and for Garuda Indonesia to Singapore earlier this year, boosting
my blog views up to 16,000 along the
victory. It’s not about the fame anymore, it’s a cloud 12 triumph, a part of me
that will never stop will always linger there like an addiction towards the
recognition, but in the end of the day, I did reinvent my Halcyon Days
alongside. It’s about creating art right now, not about whatever anyone has to
say about it, like the past. I will always reinvent in the end of the day, and
my artistic visions are only as surreal as my heart. Long live The Photographic
Sense
"When The World Turns It Back Towards You, You've Still Got Your ART"
The Halcyon Days is inspired by English singer- songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actress, Ellie Goulding with "Halcyon" and "Halcyon Days". An implementation from Synth-Pop to Visual Photographic Pieces. These Pieces are being grouped onto 8 sub-groups depending on what they represent, every loss and every triumph, onto a champion-like spirit.

ATTACK OF THE FIERCE-TY FEET BEAUTIES
Sirens, that's the only thing I can hear, or at least observe, apart from the loud cries of the panic. The high pitched tones of the mortals that sing a song of the mainstream, the gestures that only the people of earth do. Isn't it just odd, how people take photography as a part of what they call, memory, whereas it's just, senseless?. They play in their sense of wonder, or more like, wander. I mean, like, that's how they just back down. They back down, sweetie, because the games too rough for their manicured nails.
They come in colonies, or in a singular method of not only being radioactive, but also promoting a sensitivity, yet a trait of just, having fun. That's how I really could describe the roars of the artistic imagery coming out towards frames, that's how I see my creative process. They are, gigantic, and overwhelming, and definitely bigger than life. Sure, I take in the inspirations from the mass-and from the ones who taught me, but they, moreoverly, come from my visions, and how they crystalize onto a freedom of speech-visually.
The portfolio is not an exploitation of ego, yet it is a personification of how my artistic visions take a scroll through the realistic stuff. They are not a thread, but in the same time they might appear to be an immense imagery of a gigantic, harmful substance. This is not an act for what the world calls cocky, this is beyond that, this revolution is, in the most artistic way, FAB.
The past may deliver my art in such cold, harsh, rough manners, but after Halcyon and the recognition, I just thought that a more, appropriately cheery, slightly blonde-loud sort of presentation might be ideal. That is exactly what this long introduction is trying to say. This is the visionary of the lighter alter ego.
3. Grand Canyon, America

The final form, however, is the climb. The formation of all art, love, and dreams carved onto one. It's not about all the goals and the particular demand of a particular stepping stone. It's more of the pride to be on the ride, like a ride or die motto. A perfect mixture of having the perfect love life, in that portion with a truly kindhearted, supportive partner, the other being a crystallisation of the dreams, finally being a part of the dream as living on it is a piece of cake, and the last one, a formation, a visionary, and the most provocative, explicit, yet beautiful and sophisticated avant-garde pieces being formed within the problems. One holding on to culture, the other holding on to gravity, and the last one unleashing the true spirits of being a free mind, being a visionary to one's own art. The passionate mixture of red and blue. The final form of, The Photographic Sense.
All of these pieces are shot for Cafe @ Cita, Cita Hati School, as prints for the Cafe. The idea of doing something "larger than life" is moreoverly inspired by "Attack of the 50 ft Woman", however, adding messages and ideas onto it felt neccesary, with a comical look, and the youngest fashion sense, inspired by icons like Miley Cyrus, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Hayley Williams, Bryan Boy, and imageries from fairy tales, the Great Gatsby, and High School Musical. All of these models are NOT professionals and are winners off my Models Wanted competition with Cita Hati (everyone are students or alumni, including the teams involved)
The idea of incorporating The Photographic Sense's journey is clearly candid, an idea crystallized while writing the editorial, or more like a journal, since Diaries are just way to sassy. I might start selling prints next year, so, email me if you're interested! Thank you so much for always being a kind reader to the blog, Unions, this portfolio is another end-year project like last year's "Masquerade Ball", aiming for a lighter imagery, and something more age related to where I am standing right now. I hope I get to inspire more next year, I promise that I'll blow more minds next year. Thank you so much for all of the time spent just to read my blog right here, resulting from the, encoruagement I get, I get to be known by the world a lot more. Thank you so much guys, you guys RAWCK!
UNIONS! The Photographic Sense wishes you a Happy New Year! May next year be a lot more artistic and filled with intense excitement and passion! Xo Reinhardt Kenneth
Roaring above the artistically, iconic building. Bending in a half circular, yet edged end. Lies two insecure souls. One with a heart on her cheek, the other with an alien-like forehead and mole holes. Their heart lies within the buildings on their bending formation. Like their only name, the insecurity, and like the building, the Opera House, the House of emotions. They bend their ego with it, not realizing their inner, weirdly beautiful features. Their over exaggerated eyes, their over exaggerated sense of humor, and their over exaggerated passion, one on her goal, the other on a virtual, Korean partner. Their hearts don't lie, they just haven't found their true fierce-ness yet. The only thing that keeps them together, is the fact that they only have each other.
Then the party starts here, as two redheads comes out in the passion they believe in, one coming from the 90s, the other a complicated band girl. Insecurity might be absent, but the overwhelmed joy causes a disturbance in the art, forming it's own form of art. The rebels, the outcasts, and especially the freedom obtained, code name, ghetto. Indifference is only a factor, and a matter of difference. In the liberty they trust, the power of endless, boundless freedom allowed. It's an affair between love and lust, and it definitely is a rule of every femme fatale - that freedom shall only be allowed for beauty and the opportunities of ego. A queen-like structure. The rapid demand of wealth instead of health. This form of beautified, hardly sophisticated demand only comes in a gigantic size. And may all parties be as fierce as this immense amount of joy.
3. Grand Canyon, America
There, comes another piece. Altered by time, in the coldest, yet fiercest way. There is just an underdog, sort-of basic imagery to the piece. Embellished in a mixture between the classic and the urban. A tres-chic sort of imagery. Mickey mouse blinded, and the husk smell of the leather-draped hunk. The people behind the stage, the support team, that's how cold the fierce-ness just blazes through. It's as if the flames come in a blue shade. The immense blizzard and it's radioactive method. That's how their art, just works, it comes off clean, but more striking than ever. The power that stands tall and falls, and re-creates the stones, the Grand Canyon,
Then comes the hopeless romantic, the ones who'd kill for love, that cliche, desperate mood. The ones who'd travel the world with class, or without, just for the other half. Forming an Eiffel as distorted as the Pisa tower. The one a dog lover, with a heart of such complex behaviors, that white is a compilation of it's complicated behavior, the other one a shy, yet strong, small town girl. With a slight interracial twist and a passion of another. One a rose, the other a doodle, and a slight hope of freedom. The boundaries of race, the boundaries of age. That's what makes the piece bigger than life. The art reference varies from the gargoyles, with the fleeing lonely ones. Like the gypsies, all the wealth and the dark reference in the world can be obtained, but not the Love. That is the point of living. Art always wins, because in the desperation, only Art can form a crystallization of beauty.

5. Capitol Building, America
After all the factors, comes Sacrifice, comes the power of giving up the body for the soul, giving up the ego for the mind, giving up the personality for the art. Comes a power of having to give more to the things worth the future, not the ones worth the present. Comes the process of having to sacrifice the social living for the process of being an artist. Like camouflaging, disappearing like a ghost-like, invisible imagery, from the rest of the crowd, and with a proud tone, being an artist. It's not about the money, recognition, and fame, it's about living, breathing, and finally dissolving in the art. And trust me, this part hurts like a stab in the a** from at the Capitol Building, the house of rules, the house of logic and politics. D.C. at it's finest. Helplessly, the ego just, lies there, in agony, trying to bend back the bones onto a stronger form, you know what they say, a hybrid is always an adapted form, it always turns better. Pushing the boundaries may get a stab, and a beautiful levitating piece of performance art of the body. Like a Wrecking Ball.
But then, the other part of the blue, the other part of the world, comes the word F.A.B, this part is where recognition matters, where the play of eccentric behavior for fame matters. The effort for the applause, the effort just to get a pat on the back. A resulting of the lonely heart and it's antiques. A force of being a star, of being known an artist. The modification of culture, the act of bringing an eastern country, a developing one to the bigger canvas. Glamorizing the act of the culture with boundaries, onto a bigger image. The idea of bringing art to fashion, in the most, glamorized, yet artistically challenging factor. An iconic piece of, draping. The idea of bringing that is another bigger than life factor. Bringing the attitude and the ego of being fab, being an icon of arrogance and whatever the upper class possesses. Deserving any liquor on rocks. The ego dressed in the passionate, red contrast, demonstrating the art of the orient, with colors of silver on the altered hair, made to the left by such immense quirkiness of ambition. The striking features of the effort to be iconic.
But then, the memories that brings us to our nostalgic imageries, the small town behavior, the factors that makes us who we are, our first steps, our first bike, our first kiss. The acts that reforms the person you are today, is another bigger than life factor. The little picnic with the braid, and the walk through the river, the splashes and the excitement the wind gives. These riverside memories are the gravity to our ego, the things that keep us sane, not forgetting where the hearts truly belong, or once belong. Without the boundaries having to matter. The days where flying seems like a piece of cake. Where the unicorns are only a part of the backyard, and when the carefree horizon just passes through the skies.
Man-Maid Mer-Maid
This might be my early Christmas post to all y'all, but unfortunately, I don't really have anything Christmassy to post, I know I've been short on posting outfits, I might stop doing so, but I might just have a hiatus on them. This portfolio might be not too appropriate for such a lovely day, like Christmas. First of all, the images look so hot (I mean hot as in the sun-hot temperature), and it doesn't really portray the happiness the holiday is supposed to post. But today, I come with a cause I believe in.
I might not be the strongest animal lover, I mean I've got tons of friends who are just so supportive for the wildlife and I hope one day I can be as supportive, but I do felt like I need my art to work as a visionary towards the cause I believe in, and this is one of them. Since I am taking IB Art HL at school, I've got to also work on individual assignments that sort of relate to my class work. I did an Indonesian art topic and chose "Nyi Roro Kidul" as my subject, she is a mythical creature from the Javanese Southern sea, you should really google her up to see her wondrous enigma under the culture. I decided to do a cold and feminine shade on each side of the painting, this picture is taken off my instagram so I do apologize for the low quality. Anyways, back on the portfolio.
As much I admire the ocean's rage, I try to depict what we are doing to it, we are destroying the living it holds. Everyday, large, endangered fishes are just being hooked out of the marine and just sold like pieces of tuna on the market, it's not that I am insensitive enough to not care about the "socially edible" organisms, but these endangered species are definitely creatures of it's wonders, and I do believe that they should roam on the marine for their, and our good.
